Narine Isajanyan was born in Armenia and began drawing and painting at the age of five. During her childhood she received training in music
and dance as well as developed her love for visual arts by visiting many museums and galleries throughout Armenia and Russia.
After receiving her BA in Architecture from Alexander Tamanyan College of Architecture in Armenia, Narine moved to Russia to study at the
Moscow Institute of Architecture.
During her college years Narine had a privilege to study drawing, paining, composition and philosophy with two of the most respected art te
achers, Samvel Bagdasaryan and Manvel Bagdasaryan. Narine received her MFA from Yerevan University of Art and Theater in Armenia in 1995.
She first started exhibiting her art in 1990 in Armenia and later participated in numerous shows in Moscow, Beirut, Abu Dhabi, Croatia
and Belgium.
Narine came to the United States to participate in an art exhibition in 1998 and has been living, working and exhibiting her artwork at many
respected galleries and museums in United States.
Inspired by the impressionist painter Monet, Narine's work is expressionist, minimalist and conceptual by turns. Whether on canvas, paper,
board, wood or actually made of metal, her pieces become abstract landscapes that are as fluid within as they are consistent and organic as
a whole.
Narine gets her inspiration from music, nature and the earth. She enjoys working with organic and earthy materials to enforce the importance
of letting it just be without adding any colors or effects onto it.
Let’s not change the world, let it just be
